Therapeutic Touch (TT) is a well-established form of energetic therapy, practised by professional nurses since the early seventies, and is widely researched in healthcare institutions, including the National Institutes of Health. Therapeutic Touch - developed by Dolores Kreiger, PhD, RN - is now taught in more than 80 countries and 100 universities world-wide.
Therapeutic Touch is derived from the ancient practice of laying-on of hands. It provides balancing and healing from a holistic approach: physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Therapeutic Touch has been successfully used to treat:
- Pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS)
- Asthma
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Headaches
- Infections
- Athletic injuries
- Nausea and vomiting
- Recovery from surgery
- Side effects from chemotherapy and radiation cancer treatment
